We had owned her daughter, Thistle, for about a month when we received the opportunity to buy Hey Babe from Nubilop Acres. We jumped at the chance, and are excited for the day when we can freshen mother and daugher side-by-side, and see the influence of the sire on the daughter.
Babe's topline is phenomenal, and her rump is wide and flat, thurl to thurl. When I'd only seen her yearling photos, I was thinking she might not have a strong brisket, but when I saw her in person at three years old, I was very happy with her in that area.
She could do with more depth of body and heart girth. Her udder attachments are very good, but we can work on rear udder height and capacity in future breedings. She was milking 10# a day at 10 weeks fresh as a 2nd freshener when we bought her.
