April 2023 Biosecurity Test Results
April was the only goat over six months of age (which is the minimum recommended age for testing) on the farm when these blood tests were run, so she was the only goat tested this round. Blood was drawn right before loading her into the truck at her old farm, to minimize the effects stress & transport might have.
We tested for Caprine Arthritis Encephalitis Virus (CAE), Caseous Lymphadenitis (CL), Johne's Disease, and Q-Fever.
All her tests were negative.
She will be tested again within six months' time, along with the rest of our goats, as they should all be old enough for testing by then.
