Fresh, nutritious raw goat's milk.
Many of you have realized that cow's milk is not right for you, and are seeking an alternative that is better suited to human digestion. Goat's milk is nutritionally similar to cow's milk, and when kept fresh and cold, tastes just like whole cow's milk, but many people find it easier to digest and tolerate. While cow's milk separates into a heavy cream line, the fat globules in goat's milk are much smaller in size, and the milk appears much more homogenized, and many find this to be more palatable. Many peoples' intolerance to cow's milk is due to a protein, Alpha-S1 casein. Goat's milk has significantly lower levels of this protein than cow's milk, and many people have improved digestibility of goat's milk compared to cow's milk. Goat's milk also typically contains slightly less lactose than cow's milk, and some people who experience sensitivity to lactose find goat's milk an appropriate alternative. |

Free-range eggs, no GMO feed. It's hard to trust that the animals who produce your food were raised in a way that aligns with your values. Most chickens, even farm-raised, are fed GMO corn and soy on a daily basis. Our birds are fed Certified Organic feed, and have the run of our property - they're never kept confined in a building or forced to lay year-round with supplemental lighting. When you buy eggs from Tosche Supply Co., you know you're making a choice to support animal welfare and environmentally responsible agricultural practices. |

Proud of how we grow. We are a no-spray farm, and never use any synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers. We also practice no-till, or minimum tillage practices, preferring instead to use cover crops, amending with compost, and tarping fallow beds to prevent erosion and carbon loss. Crop rotation, companion planting, and row covers are some of the strategies we use to control pest pressure without the use of pesticides, and using compost as a deep mulch goes a long way towards weed control, allowing us to manage hand-weeding without the use of herbicides. |

Our packaging commitment. In 2021, we began transitioning to home-compostable packaging, and by 2022 all of our packaging will be 100% home-compostable. This includes produce bags and boxes, shopping bags, shipping mailers, and shipping labels. Our landfills and waterways are too full of plastic already. Many companies, in an effort to seem more palatable to consumers, have begun "greenwashing" - using deceptive marketing to make consumers believe that their products and policies are environmentally friendly. In order to live up to our standard of sustainability, we are committed to using only materials that can be composted in a home environment, rather than only in an industrial setting to which many consumers do not have access. |
